By offering structured pathways for boys and girls across junior divisions, the academy not only develops athletic skills but also fosters teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Its outreach aligns with broader PNGRL initiatives that leverage rugby league to improve gender equality, strengthen social cohesion, and create opportunities for youth participation. Through these efforts, 6Tiger Academy builds stronger communities, inspires young athletes, and empowers them to become role models both on and off the field

Player Pathways

6Tiger Academy’s player pathway is designed to guide young athletes from grassroots participation to elite competition, ensuring they develop both on and off the field. The pathway begins with junior (Under 10s) programs that emphasize fundamental skills, discipline, and teamwork, before progressing into structured age-grade competitions where players refine technical ability and tactical awareness. As athletes advance, they receive mentorship, strength and conditioning support, and exposure to higher-level rugby environments, preparing them for representative opportunities and potential professional careers. Beyond sport, the academy integrates education and life-skills training, helping players build resilience, leadership, and community values, so that every participant—whether they reach professional ranks or not—emerges as a confident contributor to society.
